Lots of nurses love working with patients or working in health care administration. And that's fantastic. We need more of you. But still, who can't use some extra money on the side. freelance writing offers a wonderful creative way to use your nursing knowledge. And it's a perfect side gig for any nurse because you can set your own hours, work from home or wherever you would like to. Personally my goal is to freelance from a balcony in Barcelona.

It's easy to set up a freelance business, you can do it with almost $0 invested aside from any business licenses or things like that. You don't have to invest a lot of time either. I spent just four hours a week when I started my business. And even when I was making over $100,000 a year, I didn't work more than about 24 hours a week.
