Marijke Vroomen Durning
Marijke Vroomen Durning is a Registered urse and health writer. In fact, she's possibly the best-known nurse-turned-writer in the industry. After decades of writing part-time, she went full-time in the early 2000s and never looked back. She has written for print and online publications, for both consumer and professional audiences.
In addition to working with clients, Marijke successfully self-published the book Just the Right Dose to educate the public on medication safety.
Of note, Marijke served as a key mentor to RN2writer's founder, Elizabeth Hanes, and helped Beth achieve the level of success she has enjoyed over the years.
Marijke (say: muh-RYE-kuh) is an empty nester who lives with her husband in Montreal, Canada. She is a prolific quilter and is having fun making things for her first grandchild, born this past summer.
Steven Marshall
Dr. Steve Marshall is a Registered Nurse who holds a Bachelor's and Master of Science in Nursing as well as a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. He has worked in many clinical and leadership roles throughout his career. Steve founded his writing business, See Doc Nurse Write LLC, in February of 2023 with the goal of sharing his knowledge and experience with a broader audience.
Steve's teaching experience includes guest lecturing, working as a Senior Evaluator for an MSN program, and serving as clinical faculty for an Associate's Degree (AD) RN program.
As an alumni of the complete RN2writer curriculum, Steve has put his learning to good use by growing his business rapidly. He currently serves A-list clients including the U.S. National Council on Aging, PBS NextAvenue.com, Nursing Management Journal, MarketWatch, and many others.
Elizabeth Hanes
Elizabeth Hanes BSN RN is an award-winning journalist, former six-figure freelance writer, and the founder of RN2writer. She delights in sharing all of her knowledge of freelancing with other nurses (and other healthcare professionals) to help them become freelance writers, too.
Beth started her writing career in 1994 and has been published in numerous top-tier outlets including WebMD, Healthgrades, Anthem, Aetna, Dignity Health, Cardinal Health, Art+Antiques magazine, History.com, NextAvenue, AntiqueWeek, and many others. In addition to a BSN degree, Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing. Both of her degrees were earned at the University of New Mexico.
When she's not helming RN2writer, Beth often can be found puttering around her Albuquerque home, perfecting her Cosmopolitan recipe, antiquing, or taking hikes in the Sandia Mountain foothills.
